ohn Wind presented as a keynote speaker for Engineers Without
Borders at the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) Region A Conference (2007) hosted at San Jose State University.  He works as a research engineer for Chevron in Richmond, CA. He has a BS in chemical engineering from Purdue University in 1996 and a PhD from the University of Texas at Austin in 2002. 

With six years of industrial experience in membrane-based gas separations and energy production, Dr. Wind currently manages research and development programs in novel membrane technologies for hydrogen, natural gas and biofuels separations.  He also works on greenhouse gas mitigation technologies and analysis of emerging issues in corporate responsibility and community integration.

In 2006, Dr. Wind traveled with the EWB-SFP team to Tanzania in 2006 to implement water supply and water quality testing/education projects.
